I love this time of year; whether one celebrates Christmas or not.
And while, at the moment, I am in Saudi Arabia where, ah, Christmas is not so much celebrated…
I am grateful that Saudi Arabia gave me the opportunity to travel to my favorite city at my favorite time of year just recently.
I loved the lights, the chilly air, and the mulled wine.
And I especially love Edinburgh in all it’s festive perfection…
Edinburgh Castle overlooking the festivities
My favorite drink this time of year. Mulled wine…
And what could be more perfect than mulled wine in a Highland Village?
And I love that there is something so wonderfully mysteriously haunting about this city…
And I love this time of year for it is the perfect time to reflective on the past year,
as well as to look forward to all the new adventures & experiences yet to come…

You forgot to mention the COLD, Tahira. Merry warm Christmas!
Yes, indeed, another thing I love about this time of year…. the COLD! And it definitely was cold in Edinburgh! And Merry Christmas to you too, Jo!
Love the adventurous attitude. Hope you enjoy your warm Christmas. I suspect you’ll manage to do that no matter where you are.
Thank you, Gunta! I wish the same to you, my friend of kindred spirit. And I also suspect I will manage no matter where I am….
Beautiful Edinburgh scenes, Tahira. I’ve never been there. Thanks for taking me with you.
